The Books of Hours are ceramic open books, inspired by manuscripts of medieval monks. Each work is unique and is a combination of ceramics, glaze and screen printing.
Nicolas Dings, Tegelen 1953, is a sculptor and painter. He also made sculptures for the public space, about thirty of which can be seen in the Netherlands. One of his most famous works is the Spinoza Monument in Amsterdam. The motifs in his work are often borrowed from the early Renaissance. Using all kinds of materials such as bronze, ceramics, steel and stone. He connects themes from art history and current affairs.
