The 160th Infantry Regiment is a United States Army infantry regiment that has been active since 1921. Originally formed as part of the National Guard, it was federalized and later converted to an airborne unit during World War II. The regiment saw action in various conflicts including World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. It is currently a part of the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division. The 160th Infantry Regiment's primary role is to conduct joint, combined, airborne, and forcible entry operations in support of combatant commanders.
