Rosebank
Rosebank Distillery was established in Falkirk in 1840 by James Rankine. Rosebank Distillery was situated at the junction of the Forth and Clyde Canal and the Union Canal in Scotlands Lowland whisky region and was equipped with three copper stills and round wooden worm tubs. Rosebank was a malt whisky distillery which produced triple distilled whisky but closed in 1993. Many of Rosebank Distillerys buildings have been demolished and it is now a lost Scottish Lowland malt whisky distillery.
Excellent texture and oilier than you'd expect from such a lush nose. Sweet at first, the apple flavours emerge strongly; soon developing an intense mixed spice note. Spiced tea loaf. Some cedar dryness. Mouth-drying, with a whiff of sooty smoke, and autumn fruits.
