A nutritional supplemental for newborn calves less that do not receive enough maternal colostrum.
Within 2 hours after birth:follow the mixing directions above. Feed resulting mixture of Calf Colostrum Supplement along with at least 2 quarts of clean, disease-free maternal colostrum using a nipple bottle.
6-12 hours later:Provide a second feeding of colostrum.
Day 2:Begin feeding calf milk replacer.
Within 2 hours after birth:Follow the mixing directions above by mixing2 pouchesof Calf Colostrum Supplement into 3 quarts of warm water. Feed the resulting mixture using a nipple bottle. Most calves will easily consume this volume of colostrum by nipple. If not, cool the colostrum for 2-3 hours and then re-warm to 100F and offer again with nipple.
6-8 hour intervals:Provide 1-4 additional feedings of Calf Colostrum Supplement.
Day 2:Begin feeding calf milk replacer.
Offer fresh water at all times.
Important: Follow feeding directions. Every calf is an individual. The directions above are written for a calf that is about 75-100 pounds at birth. Adjust the amounts fed according to the calfs body weight, the environmental conditions and the level of calf disease on your farm. Consult with your veterinarian if you have questions.
Store dry powder in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place. Best if used within 12 months of date of manufacture.
