Description:
The Phantom Gift, a representative of the "Neo GS movement" that dominated the 80's, has released its first 7" single in 36 years. The Phantom Gift has resumed live performances since April 2023 with a four-member lineup consisting of the original three members, Napoleon Yamagishi, Sally Kubota, and Charlie Morita, plus Rui Sugimura (ex The Hair, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra), and this 7-inch single is the first one to be released since the band's revival, The first 7-inch single to be released in the revival will feature cult GS numbers by The Dynamites, "Midsummer Night's Zoo" ('68) and The Temptors, "Tell Me More" ('69), which no one has covered before. The groovy Latin psychedelic A-side and the cool blues number B-side are arranged with respect for roots rock in their unique 2023 performance. (C)RS
